Smooth acoustic ceiling in minimalist modern villa

Smooth acoustic ceiling in minimalist modern villa When architecture, materials, and details come together in harmony, homes are created where aesthetics and functionality work side by side. This is exactly the case in this 430 m² modern villa in Zealand, Denmark, where homeowner Lise Henriksen and her husband have created a residence defined by a clean, minimalist style and a clear attention to detail. At Hz Acoustic, we delivered approximately 165 m² of acoustic ceiling to the home’s hall, corridor, living room, kitchen, and one of the bathrooms. Our partner Akustiknord carried out the installation, where acoustics and aesthetics have been integrated as a natural part of the architectural design. Click here to read more about the project An acoustic ceiling that supports the minimalist style In a home with such a refined and minimalist architectural expression, it is important that the ceiling does not draw attention away from the other elements of the space. For this reason, our Hz Basic acoustic panel 001 was selected. The panel consists of a 30mm mineral wool core combined with a glass granulate board. The panels are finished with Hz Acoustic Plaster 03, creating a smooth and uniform surface without visible joints. The result is a calm ceiling that appears as one continuous surface and supports the minimalist architectural language of the house. The smooth finish fits naturally into modern architecture, where lines, proportions, and materials are carefully balanced. Carefully integrated installations One of the most interesting details in the project is the plaster-integrated speakers in the kitchen and living room. The speakers are integrated directly into the ceiling and finished with acoustic plaster, making them completely invisible. For those interested in this solution, Hz Acoustic collaborates with Luxtek, a distributor of Sonance speakers that can be integrated directly into our acoustic ceilings. The speakers are installed within the ceiling and then finished with acoustic plaster, making them invisible while allowing sound to pass through the surface. The result is a discreet solution where sound technology and architecture merge without disrupting the aesthetics of the space. The project is characterised by a high level of detailing. The ceiling includes several integrated spotlights and lighting outlets, carefully positioned to provide balanced illumination throughout the rooms. Along the window sections, sharp transitions have been created at the curtain recesses, where the curtains are integrated into the architecture. These precise details reinforce the clean architectural expression of the house and contribute to a refined and cohesive result. Such detailing requires both careful planning and high craftsmanship during installation, something that in this project has been achieved through close collaboration between the homeowner, craftsmen, and installer. Acoustics as a natural part of the architecture Modern homes with large open spaces, hard surfaces, and expansive windows can often present acoustic challenges. In these environments, an acoustic ceiling plays a key role in everyday comfort. With Hz Basic acoustic panels 001 combined with Hz Acoustic Plaster 03, the ceiling effectively absorbs sound and reduces reverberation while maintaining the architectural expression. The result is a home where the sound environment remains comfortable, even in large living areas, and where the ceiling forms a natural and discreet part of the overall design. A home where the details make the difference The project at Lise Henriksen’s home is a clear example of how acoustics can be integrated into modern residential architecture without dominating the space. Instead, the ceiling acts as a refined backdrop that highlights the home’s materials, light, and architectural lines. From the invisible speakers to the precise detailing at the curtain recesses, every element has been carefully considered. At Hz Acoustic, these are exactly the types of projects that demonstrate how acoustics, aesthetics, and technology can work together as one. Acoustic ceiling in new extension by Sølvsten Arkitektur

Acoustic ceiling in new extension by Sølvsten Arkitektur When a home is expanded with a new extension, the ambition is often to create a space that feels like a natural continuation of the existing building while also adding something new: more space, more daylight, improved functionality, and a stronger architectural coherence. In this project, designed by Sølvsten Arkitektur, this balance has been achieved with great precision and the choice of acoustic ceiling plays a central role. The extension is designed as a harmonious continuation of the original house, where a subtle shift in floor level creates a refined transition between old and new. This small step generates a generous ceiling height in the new kitchen-living space, increasing both the spatial volume and the sense of lightness and movement. The large glazed openings draw daylight deeply into the room and further into the rest of the home, which makes the acoustic environment an essential part of the overall experience. At the same time, the acoustic solution must not disrupt the architectural vision. To meet these requirements, the extension has been completed using a combination of Hz Plus gypsum acoustic panels and our finest Hz Acoustic Plaster 03. The Hz Plus acoustic panels ensure effective sound absorption throughout the space, including areas with high activity levels, hard materials, and strong sound reflections. On top of the panels, Hz Acoustic Plaster 03 provides a completely smooth, uniform, and elegant ceiling surface without visible joints. The result is a calm, cohesive expression that supports the architecture while maintaining excellent acoustic comfort. Together, the system creates an acoustic ceiling that enhances both the aesthetics of the room and the everyday experience – even when the kitchen is in use, the children are playing, and the family gathers in one shared space. An extension with architectural calm and material depth Sølvsten Arkitektur has worked with a refined, muted material palette in which each surface has its purpose and contributes to the tactile quality of the space. The rendered brickwork, the warm timber cladding, and the deep anodised overhang create a balanced exterior, beautifully connected to the garden through the large window sections. Inside, the same tactile approach continues. Here, the soft, organic texture of microcement meets cooler steel details, while textile elements filter the light and add a discreet atmosphere. In this interplay between the raw and the refined, the acoustic ceiling becomes a natural part of the whole. The ceiling appears as a calm, cohesive surface that ties the space together and supports the subtle, modern atmosphere that defines the extension. An acoustic ceiling with purpose The extension appears as a quiet and carefully considered architectural addition that respects the existing home while adding a new layer of contemporary functionality. Acoustics are not an afterthought here, but an integrated part of the design. By combining Hz Plus gypsum acoustic panels with Hz Acoustic Plaster 03, the family gains a smooth, seamless, and highly effective acoustic ceiling that makes the large kitchen-living area welcoming, comfortable to spend time in, and well suited for everyday life as well as social gatherings. Acoustic ceilings at ARoS

Salling Galleriet, ARoS

Acoustic ceilings at ARoS – where art and acoustics go hand in hand. At ARoS Art Museum in Aarhus, architecture, art, and acoustics come together in two exceptional projects featuring world-class acoustic solutions delivered by Hz Acoustic. The new acoustic ceilings at ARoS form part of the museum’s major extension, which includes an underground gallery and The Dome, a Skyspace by James Turrell. The extension is designed by Schmidt Hammer Lassen, and contractor Aarsleff is responsible for the build. The elegant acoustic ceilings have been installed by our skilled partner, DK Akustik Vest. The project consists of two unique components: the open, atmospheric Art Square, leading visitors towards James Turrell’s artpiece The Dome, a Skyspace, and the underground Salling Gallery, a new 1,000 m² exhibition space for large-scale contemporary art. Click here to read more about the project A passage leading into the light In the new Art Square – the transitional space guiding visitors into Turrell’s iconic ‘The Dome, a Skyspace by James Turrell’ installation – light, volume, and acoustics are balanced with great care. Here, we supplied Hz Plus acoustic panels, finished with our Hz Acoustic Plaster 03 to create a smooth, seamless surface. The plaster is particularly well suited for organic and curved geometries, such as the circular skylight that brings daylight into the space and generates an almost meditative atmosphere. Along the walls, precisely fitted edge trims provide a sharp, refined finish that follows the gentle curve of the passage. The result is a calm, cohesive surface in which the ceiling becomes a natural part of the architecture, supporting the spatial experience rather than dominating it. At the same time, the acoustic ceiling ensures a pleasant sound environment, allowing visitors to move towards the artwork in quiet contemplation – fully aligned with the intention behind Turrell’s light installation. The Salling Gallery – 1,000 m² beneath the ground The second part of the project is the Salling Gallery, an underground exhibition hall of 1,000 square metres. Here, a raw, industrial concrete setting forms the backdrop for large-scale international contemporary art. For this space, we supplied Hz Dual 011-R acoustic panels, made from upcycled textile waste, together with Hz Acoustic Plaster 09, which also contains finely processed textile waste – including recycled bedsheets from a local laundry. The plaster is tinted and adjusted to match the architectural expression of the room, giving the surface depth and character without compromising sound absorption. The combination of recycled materials and advanced acoustic technology results in a ceiling that unites sustainability, function, and aesthetics – a perfect match for ARoS’ ambition to merge art and architecture. The acoustic ceiling improves the reverberation conditions in the large gallery and supports an environment where sound, light, and artistic immersion are in balance. The architecture frames the art rather than competing with it. An acoustic contribution to Danish cultural heritage With the expansion of ARoS and the opening of The Dome and the Salling Gallery, the museum adds a new chapter to the cultural landscape of Aarhus. For us at Hz Acoustic, it is a privilege to contribute to a project where sound, light, and materials are considered integral to the overall artistic experience. Whether in a light-filled passage or in a raw subterranean gallery, the project demonstrates how modern acoustic solutions can be adapted to any architectural expression – from the understated to the monumental. Gypsum acoustic ceiling in a modern villa with a view and understated elegance

Hz Acoustic acoustic ceiling. Sølvsten Arkitektur

Gypsum acoustic ceiling in a modern villa with a view and understated elegance – A ceiling that creates calm without stealing attention. When architecture and landscape blend together, every detail must work in perfect harmony – including the acoustics. This is beautifully illustrated in this modern villa designed by Sølvsten Arkitektur, where clean lines, quality materials, and open views take center stage. Here, Hz Acoustic has delivered a gypsum acoustic ceiling that creates a calm and comfortable sound environment without drawing attention away from the home’s architectural qualities. The project was carried out in close collaboration with DK Akustik Vest, resulting in a home where function and aesthetics go hand in hand. Click here to read more about the project Katrine Sølvsten www.soelvsten-arkitektur.dk+45 20 44 99 18ks@soelvsten-arkitektur.dkPorsvej 6, 8220 BrabrandCVR 39466155 See our projects with Sølvsten Arkitektur here: A home in dialogue with the landscape The villa is inspired by Danish neighboring houses from the 1960s and 70s but reinterpreted in a contemporary architectural language. The architect has created a home that is both modern and timeless, with a strong focus on light, materials, and detail. From the road, you arrive under an elegant canopy, and through the entrance, the house opens up to the south with sweeping views of the landscape. All living areas have direct access to the terraces, and large panoramic windows draw nature right into the home. The light-colored brick facade continues from the exterior into the interior spaces, where materials and horizontal lines create a seamless transition between indoors and outdoors. This is architecture that invites calm and presence – and precisely for that reason, an acoustically optimized ceiling was a crucial element. Gypsum acoustic ceiling – discreet comfort in architectural harmony The project features Hz Plus 027+ gypsum acoustic panels combined with our Hz Acoustic Plaster 03, which provides a smooth, uniform surface without visible joints. Our gypsum acoustic ceilings are a popular choice in modern villas because they combine easy installation, high acoustic performance, and a price point that makes them attractive for both architectural and private projects. The ceiling ensures effective sound absorption in the large, open spaces, particularly in the kitchen-living area and living room, where hard surfaces such as stone, glass, and steel could otherwise cause echo and noise. At the same time, the ceiling appears completely calm and seamless, allowing the focus to remain on the view, the materials, and the architectural lines. With its smooth plastered surface, Hz Acoustic Plaster 03 supports the villa’s clean design language. The ceiling appears light and elegant and helps create a harmonious connection between the home’s other materials – from wood and marble in the kitchen to Kolumba brick in the living room. Integrated details with function and finesse Behind the simple appearance lie carefully thought-out details. Curtain rails are integrated along the large window sections, allowing the curtains to be drawn without disrupting the visual calm. Spotlights are elegantly built into the ceiling, enabling the lighting to be adjusted according to each room’s function without disturbing the overall aesthetic. Even sliding doors are integrated into walls and ceilings so that everything appears minimalist and cohesive. Nothing is left to chance. The ceiling acts as a discreet yet indispensable element that ties the entire home together – both visually and acoustically. A ceiling that completes the architecture In the villa’s kitchen-living area, there is a calm balance between warm and cool materials. The light wooden flooring contrasts beautifully with marble, steel, and glass. In this interplay, the ceiling helps create cohesion – a neutral canvas that enhances the light and the home’s connection to the surrounding nature. With a gypsum acoustic ceiling from Hz Acoustic, you don’t just get a functional ceiling, but an integrated part of the architectural experience. Sound and aesthetics merge in a result that is both beautiful and comfortable – exactly as the architecture intends. Acoustic plaster made from textile waste at INSP! in Roskilde

Hz Acoustic Plaster 09 on Rockwool panels at INSP in Roskilde. Executed by Mejsegaarden

Acoustic plaster made from textile waste at INSP! in Roskilde When sound, sustainability, and community come together in harmony. At INSP! in Roskilde, both acoustics and green ambitions have been turned up a notch. In this social and cultural hub, where creativity, relationships, and social responsibility take center stage, the acoustics have just been upgraded – with a product created for both the ear and the conscience. The project, carried out by Mejsegaarden for the association INSP!, differs in several ways from our usual assignments. Here, the base layer does not consist of our own acoustic panels but rather mineral wool panels from Rockwool. Nevertheless, Hz Acoustic has played a central role in the final result – because it is our Hz Acoustic Plaster 09 that forms the visible and tangible surface. And this acoustic plaster deserves special attention. Acoustic plaster with a sustainable dimension Hz Acoustic Plaster 09 is not an ordinary acoustic plaster. It is produced at our own factory in Frederikshavn and made from recycled textile waste, including discarded linens from a local laundry, which are shredded and incorporated into the plaster. This gives the surface a unique texture, a warm tactility, and, not least, a sustainable profile that perfectly matches a place like INSP!, where responsibility is a core value. The structure added by the textile fibers not only provides a special visual character but also contributes to sound absorption, ensuring that the acoustic environment functions effectively. And it does. Rooms that previously suffered from disturbing echo and reverberation now have a comfortable and controlled soundscape, creating space for conversation, music, meetings, and community. A different project with a familiar result At Hz Acoustic, we are used to delivering complete acoustic ceiling systems, providing the entire setup from panels and plaster to everything in between. But this project is different. Here, our task consisted solely of supplying the acoustic plaster. This proves just how strong a role the acoustic plaster itself can play in both the overall appearance and the acoustic performance. For the client, it also provides flexibility to choose the solution that best fits the budget and framework, without compromising on sound or aesthetics. A cost that hits the mark The project was completed at a price of approximately 400 DKK + VAT per m², which is highly competitive compared to both traditional ceilings and complete acoustic systems. This makes the solution relevant for a wide range of applications – from cultural centers and schools to offices and communal spaces, where budget and function must be balanced. More than just better acoustics INSP! is not an ordinary building. It is a place where people meet, ideas develop, and social differences are bridged. It is therefore only fitting that a material with social conscience is used here. Hz Acoustic Plaster 09 not only supports great acoustics but also represents a conscious choice to minimize resource waste and promote circular production. Seamless acoustic ceiling in the new showroom at E. Nielsen’s Stonemasonry

Acoustic ceiling from Hz Acoustic at E. Nielsen Stonemasonry

Seamless acoustic ceiling in the new showroom at E. Nielsen’s Stonemasonry At E. Nielsen’s mechanical stonemasonry in Egå, a new showroom has just opened where acoustics and aesthetics go hand in hand. With this project, the long-established stonemasonry has created a space where the tactile and visual qualities of natural stone are presented in an environment that is both functional and architecturally cohesive. The ceiling solution, supplied by Hz Acoustic, ensures a seamless acoustic ceiling that does not steal attention from the impressive materials but instead enhances the overall experience. The new showroom was designed by Baks Arkitekter, who have created a holistic architectural framework with respect for the stonemasonry’s proud traditions and craftsmanship. The studio is located on the same premises, and we have also supplied a similar acoustic solution for their own offices. The close collaboration between Baks Arkitekter and Hz Acoustic is driven by a shared understanding of how materials and detailing create atmosphere and quality. A seamless acoustic ceiling with optimal sound comfort For the showroom at E. Nielsen’s mechanical stonemasonry, a combination of Hz Dual 011 acoustic panels and Hz Acoustic Plaster 09 was used. This combination was carefully selected to ensure both functionality and aesthetics. Hz Dual 011 is one of our most efficient acoustic panels in terms of sound absorption. The panels consist of 40 mm mineral wool and 9 mm glass granulate and are designed to be screwed directly into the ceiling. Each panel has four precisely positioned screw holes, finished with plugs so that the surface appears smooth and uniform. With a total thickness of 49 mm, the system achieves a very high level of sound reduction – essential in a room where stone surfaces could otherwise create harsh acoustic conditions. The surface is finished with Hz Acoustic Plaster 09, a textured plaster based on cotton waste from the textile industry. The result is a sustainable and tactile expression that appears elegant and calm. The finished ceiling surface is completely free from visible seams or joints, forming one cohesive plane that harmonizes beautifully with the room’s materials and design. A showroom with deep roots and modern ambitions E. Nielsen’s mechanical stonemasonry has a history spanning more than 225 years and is Denmark’s oldest stonemasonry. Founded in 1797, it is today run by the fourth-generation Grage family, maintaining the same dedication to quality and detail that has defined the company from the very beginning. The addition of this new showroom marks both a respect for tradition and a clear vision for the future. Natural stone is one of the most honest and durable building materials, and when presented to clients, architects, and partners, the surroundings must meet the same high standards. With our acoustic ceiling solution, we have created an environment where both the sound and character of the material can truly stand out – without acoustic challenges disrupting the experience. Modern commercial building with seamless acoustic ceilings

Acoustic ceiling without visible joints at Rørgangen 1, Karlslunde

Modern commercial building with seamless acoustic ceilings In the new commercial property at Rørgangen 1 in Karlslunde, functionality and aesthetics have been integrated from the very beginning. With a total floor area of over 30,000 m², including more than 3,000 m² of modern office spaces, high demands are placed on comfort, flexibility, and material quality. To ensure the optimal indoor climate and a calm visual expression, we have supplied a complete seamless acoustic ceiling solution. The project was developed by CBRE, a global player specializing in commercial and investment properties, and built by Celero, while the installation work was carried out by our skilled partner DK Akustik. The collaboration between these strong partners has resulted in a building where both the overall impression and the detailing are carefully considered. Good acoustics in meeting rooms When working with large meeting rooms, acoustics quickly become a critical factor. An unpleasant sound environment can negatively affect both concentration and well-being, especially in flexible workplaces where multiple activities take place simultaneously. For this reason, the project focused on creating a seamless acoustic ceiling that performs both technically and aesthetically. For Rørgangen 1, Hz Dual 011 was used – a specially developed acoustic panel combining 40 mm mineral wool and 9 mm glass granulate. The panels are mounted with visible screws that are later covered with matching plugs, ensuring an even and stable substrate for the final surface treatment. The finishing layer consists of Hz Acoustic Plaster 09, which contains recycled cotton waste from the textile industry. The plaster gives the ceiling a subtly textured surface, but without any visible seams or joints. The result is a smooth and homogeneous ceiling that complements the overall architecture and contributes to a harmonious atmosphere in the office space. A solution for modern workplaces The office space at Rørgangen 1 has been designed with a focus on flexibility and adaptability. The areas can easily be configured to suit each tenant’s needs, both in layout and function. Our seamless acoustic ceiling solution supports this approach by ensuring a sound environment that works equally well in open-plan offices, quiet zones, or meeting rooms. At the same time, the solution contributes to the building’s overall sustainable profile. By using materials such as textile-based acoustic plaster and high-performance mineral wool panels, the ceiling is robust, durable, and produced with environmental responsibility in mind. This makes it a strong choice – not only acoustically but also as a future-proof investment in comfort and quality. Collaboration that delivers results We greatly value our close collaboration with DK Akustik, who carried out the installation professionally and with precision throughout the office space. Together, we have created a solution that meets CBRE’s ambitions for modern, attractive office spaces while fulfilling all technical and aesthetic requirements. Smooth acoustic ceiling in a listed building: Strandgade 104

Strandgade 104 Hz Acoustic acoustic ceiling

Smooth acoustic ceiling in a listed building: Strandgade 104 In the heart of Christianshavn, where Copenhagen’s history flows through the canals, Strandgade 104 stands as a carefully transformed property with roots dating back to 1806. The former leather warehouse has now been converted into four exclusive boutique hotel apartments overlooking both the canal and the city’s vibrant atmosphere. Here, history has not just been preserved – it has been highlighted and elevated, with respect for the past and an eye on the future. The property developer Falk-Rønne & Kierkegaard, together with partner Artha, acquired the building in 2022 and began the transformation. Minimal intervention with maximum effect The renovation of the fully listed building was carried out in close collaboration with architect David Thulstrup and the Danish Agency for Culture and Palaces. This demanded a high level of care in both materials and solutions – especially when it came to acoustics. In listed buildings, nothing can be lost: every beam, brick, and surface tells a story. That is precisely why the choice fell on Hz Flex-R acoustic panels and Hz Acoustic Plaster 03 from Hz Acoustic. Hz Flex-R is made from recycled foam and is characterized by its flexibility and low thickness of just 15 mm. This makes it possible to preserve and highlight the many visible beams that define the building’s character, without letting the ceiling dominate the space. An acoustic ceiling in a listed building that blends seamlessly with the architecture When it comes to older and listed buildings, modern solutions must take a step back – without compromising comfort. With Hz Acoustic Plaster 03, a smooth acoustic ceiling is achieved that naturally blends with the room’s other surfaces. The white plastered finish reflects light and accentuates the details of the restored materials without drawing attention away from them. The result is an acoustic solution that works discreetly. Guests and residents feel the difference through the comfortable sound and visual calm, even if they don’t see it. Design vision with respect for history Architect David Thulstrup describes the ambition as a desire to bring the future into the past – without imitating it. By working with a limited palette of materials, including Dinesen planks, Sørensen leather, and Finnish granite stone, he has succeeded in creating a dialogue between old and new that is neither nostalgic nor intrusive. Our contribution to the project’s acoustics plays a discreet yet crucial role in this overall balance. When acoustics and aesthetics work hand in hand, a special sense of calm emerges – and that is exactly the feeling experienced in the apartments at Strandgade 104. An acoustic ceiling in a listed building must not only meet modern sound standards; it must also integrate respectfully with the building’s history. Our solution here does exactly that. We are proud to be part of a project where preservation and renewal meet in perfect harmony. Are you interested in a smooth acoustic ceiling for a listed building? Seamless acoustic ceiling for Baks Arkitekter

Baks Arkitekter

Seamless acoustic ceiling for Baks Arkitekter At Baks Arkitekter in Egå, Denmark, every detail has been carefully considered – from material choices to spatial transitions and the overall atmosphere. When architects design for themselves, the demands are higher, and aesthetics, function, and sustainability must merge seamlessly. That’s why we at Hz Acoustic are particularly proud to have delivered seamless acoustic ceilings for the architecture studio’s own offices. The project is a great example of how modern acoustic solutions can be integrated naturally into a minimalist and meticulously designed space. Here, Baks Arkitekter chose products that support their Scandinavian design language and focus on wholeness and materiality. Acoustic ceilings with depth and texture For the studio, a combination of the following acoustic panels was chosen: Hz Plus 027+ – a perforated gypsum panel pre-treated with acoustic felt, ensuring effective sound absorption while creating an even surface. Hz Dual 011 acoustic panels – one of our most efficient solutions for sound absorption. The panel consists of 40 mm mineral wool and 9 mm glass granulate and features four precisely positioned screw holes with matching plugs. With a total thickness of 49 mm, it provides high sound reduction and is mounted securely with screws, making it particularly suitable for professional environments such as studios and offices. Hz Acoustic Plaster 09 – a textured acoustic plaster containing recycled cotton waste from the textile industry, offering a rich, tactile surface while maintaining a seamless, joint-free finish. Our acoustic solution not only creates visual calm but also delivers a significant improvement in the room’s acoustic quality. In a design studio, where concentration, dialogue, and creativity go hand in hand, the sound environment must support the rhythm of daily work – and the seamless acoustic ceiling is a natural choice. The acoustic plaster Hz 09 also contains cotton waste from the textile industry, contributing to more responsible material use. This underlines the holistic approach that both Hz Acoustic and Baks Arkitekter share when it comes to sustainability, aesthetics, and function in a single solution. When architects choose acoustics with care Since 2004, Baks Arkitekter has worked with both architecture and interior design and has built a reputation for their holistic approach. The studio is characterized by a Nordic aesthetic, where simplicity, functionality, and material quality interact – and this is very much reflected in their own workspace as well. What makes this project particularly special is that the architects themselves chose the solution. This places high demands on precision, surface quality, and technical performance. For that reason, the seamless acoustic ceiling was an obvious choice – allowing the space to speak for itself while supporting the overarching architectural vision. Here, the ceiling becomes more than a technical necessity; it becomes an integral part of the architectural expression. The result is a discreet and smooth surface that emphasizes the room’s lines and lets the light play naturally – without visual interruptions. A solution for the workplaces of the future A well-designed office environment is not just about furniture and layout – it’s also about the invisible qualities that define everyday well-being. Good acoustics are essential for productivity and comfort, especially in creative workspaces. With products from Hz Acoustic, Baks Arkitekter has created a setting where architecture and acoustics work in harmony, and the ceiling plays both a technical and aesthetic role.
