Our house on Bornholm was originally built as a parish hall, and therefore the main room had a special acoustic character, with a church-like reverberation. However, this type of acoustics is not suitable for a home where you want to enjoy conversation around the dining table – often with many people. For us, regulating the room acoustics was therefore essential. Hz Acoustic has been an excellent partner in this process, and together we found a ceiling solution that has significantly improved the acoustics in the room.

We have used acoustic plaster from Hz Acoustic in our own studio, with different setups. 20 mm in larger communal areas such as our model workshop, and up to 45 mm in our meeting rooms.

The improvement in room acoustics has been remarkable. Spaces that were previously difficult to concentrate in are now much more pleasant. Especially our largest meeting room, where we now host both physical and digital meetings. The sound-absorbing ceilings make it possible to have 6-8 people in the room, all clearly audible to one another.

Since we have already had several good ideas for small adjustments in the rooms, we are also very happy that we chose Hz Acoustic. Repairs can be carried out easily and without visible traces.

In the autumn of 2019, we began renovating our house, where we chose a ceiling height of 4.5 meters. With two small (and noisy) boys, we knew that achieving good acoustics in the room was a must. However, we did not want traditional acoustic ceilings and therefore explored alternative options.

Many were skeptical about whether it would be sufficient in a room with such a high ceiling – but everyone who has visited the house since has admitted that it works perfectly. The difference in acoustics between the living room and the bedrooms (without acoustic ceilings) is like night and day.

We are genuinely grateful every day that we were introduced to Hz Acoustic acoustic ceilings.

We had seen many acoustic solutions before, but none that looked this good. When we saw and heard the product from Hz Acoustic, we were convinced - and we haven’t regretted it.

When you enter the house, you can literally feel and hear the sense of calm. In the two adjacent rooms, one with and one without an acoustic ceiling, the difference is striking. Even the house builder was impressed. So once again, thank you – we are thrilled with our ceilings. Can you say that a sound feels beautiful?

I have not found other solutions that perform equally well in all aspects: acoustic performance, post-treatment options, and especially the complete absence of visible joints in the finished installation.

For us, there is no middle ground or alternative. We look forward to many more project collaborations in the future.
