Hz FLEX – FLEXIBLE ACOUSTIC SYSTEM FOR CURVED CEILINGS
Hz Flex is an acoustic system based on a flexible foam panel, glued directly onto curved ceilings where flat acoustic panels cannot follow the surface. The panel is finished with reinforcement mesh and Hz Acoustic Plaster 03, so the result is a homogeneous, seamless acoustic ceiling whatever the curvature. At only 20 mm thick, Hz Flex suits projects with limited ceiling height or listed-building requirements.

INSTALLATION GUIDE
The foam panels are glued onto the substrate and shaped to the ceiling’s geometry.
Hz Acoustic Plaster 03 covers the whole surface. The ceiling is homogeneous and white.
Spotlights, lighting and curtain tracks are integrated during installation.
THE DECISIVE FINISH
Hz Acoustic Plaster 03 ties Hz Flex together. It is applied to the reinforced foam layer and is acoustically transparent; sound passes freely through to the foam panel.
The surface is sanded smooth and homogeneous – also on curved surfaces, where traditional acoustic panels cannot follow the substrate. The result is an acoustic ceiling that looks like an ordinary plastered ceiling, whatever the shape behind it.
Like the rest of Hz Acoustic’s systems, Hz Acoustic Plaster 03 can be maintained, repaired locally and sanded again, so the ceiling keeps its even appearance for years.

Yes, that is what the system is for. The flexible Hz Flex foam panels adapt to convex, concave and double-curved surfaces, where flat acoustic panels such as Hz Basic cannot follow the substrate in the same way.
Hz Basic uses rigid mineral wool panels for level substrates. Hz Flex uses flexible foam that can be shaped to curved surfaces, and has a lower build-up height (20 mm against Hz Basic’s 29-49 mm).
No, Hz Flex is used exclusively with Hz Acoustic Plaster 03. If you want the textured finish (Hz Acoustic Plaster 09), we recommend Hz Basic.
Yes. One of the big advantages of Hz Acoustic Plaster 03 is local repair. Damage can be repaired locally, and the ceiling can even be transformed completely in a different color. Read more in our general FAQ.
