Sound measurements for Hz Basic acoustic panels
Hz BASIC – GLUE-ON ACOUSTIC SYSTEM
Hz Basic is an acoustic system for direct gluing onto solid, level substrates such as concrete and plasterboard. The result is a homogeneous, white acoustic ceiling without visible joints, seams or perforations, finished with Hz Acoustic Plaster in a smooth or textured finish. The acoustic panels come in two thicknesses, so the system can be matched to each project’s sound absorption requirements.

PRODUCTS IN THE Hz BASIC SYSTEM
Both Hz Basic panels are glued directly onto a solid substrate and finished with Hz Acoustic Plaster. Choose the panel by thickness.
Mineral wool acoustic panels for direct gluing onto concrete, plasterboard and other solid substrates. High sound absorption with minimal height loss.

Hz Basic 001 (29 mm) is ideal where ceiling height must be preserved. Hz Basic 007 (49 mm) provides the highest sound absorption and is recommended in rooms with very hard acoustics, such as restaurants, large halls and open-plan offices.

INSTALLATION GUIDE
The substrate, whether concrete, plasterboard or a similar solid surface, must be level, clean and dry. Loose or porous substrate surfaces are primed before gluing.
Adhesive goes on the back of the panels. They are pressed against the substrate and held in position. The adhesive cures without mechanical fixing.
Joints and edges are filled to achieve a seamless surface. The filling helps ensure the seamless finish.
Hz Acoustic Plaster is applied across the whole ceiling in three coats. Once dry and sanded, the ceiling is completely smooth and white – with no visible joints, seams or perforations.
Spotlights, lighting tracks, ventilation and curtain tracks are built directly into the ceiling during installation. Hz Basic is designed to house them discreetly.
THE DECISIVE FINISH
Hz Acoustic Plaster is the finish that ties Hz Basic together. It is sprayed across the whole ceiling and is acoustically transparent; sound passes freely through to the acoustic panel behind. With Hz Acoustic Plaster 03 the surface is sanded at the end to a completely smooth finish.
This is what sets Hz Basic apart from conventional acoustic ceilings: the surface looks like an ordinary ceiling but performs like an acoustic ceiling. Hz Acoustic Plaster can be maintained, repaired and transformed – and it keeps the ceiling looking good for years.

FAQ
Have a question that is not answered below?
See our general FAQ or contact us directly.
Yes, Hz Basic can be glued onto painted plasterboard, but the substrate must be stable and able to hold adhesion. Loose or dirty surfaces must be cleaned or primed before gluing.
Hz Basic 001 is 29 mm thick and is chosen where ceiling height must be preserved. Hz Basic 007 is 49 mm thick and provides higher sound absorption. 007 is recommended in rooms with very hard acoustics, such as restaurants, offices and large halls.
Installation time depends on the scope of the project, the shape of the room and any technical integrations. An experienced Hz Acoustic installer typically completes a standard project of 50-100 m² in 5-8 working days, including filling and plaster.
Hz Basic is primarily developed for level substrates, but it can readily be used on slightly curved surfaces and sloping ceilings. For curved, convex and concave surfaces we recommend Hz Flex, which is made from a flexible foam material that adapts to different curves. Contact us for advice on the right system for your project.
Yes. One of the major advantages of Hz Acoustic Plaster is the option of local repair. Damage can be repaired locally and even transformed completely if a different color or texture is required. Read more in our general FAQ.
