Hz Basic – glued acoustic system for solid substrates

Hz Basic is a glued acoustic system developed for direct installation onto solid, flat substrates such as concrete and gypsum. The system combines high sound absorption with a smooth, seamless ceiling surface, finished with Hz Acoustic Plaster, creating a calm architectural expression without visible joints, seams, or perforations.

Hz Basic is used in both residential and professional projects where an effective acoustic solution with minimal height loss, fast installation, and long lifespan is required – without compromising aesthetics or functionality.

Installation of Hz Basic acoustic panels

Hz Basic is installed by gluing the acoustic panels directly onto the existing ceiling, making the system particularly suitable for projects where ceiling height must be preserved. Installation is simple and efficient, and the panels can be adapted to technical installations by cutting into the insulation, ensuring a uniform ceiling surface without visible cables or joints.

Below are examples of how Hz Basic acoustic panels are installed.

Selected reference projects with Hz Basic acoustic panels

Hz Basic is used across a wide range of projects where a discreet, seamless ceiling solution with high acoustic comfort is required – from private homes to offices, restaurants, and public buildings.

What characterises Hz Basic acoustic ceilings?

Glued installation onto existing ceilings

Hz Basic acoustic panels are glued directly onto substrates such as concrete and gypsum. This makes the system ideal for projects requiring fast installation without a batten system or mechanical fixings. If your project requires mechanical fixing, please refer to Hz Dual – a screw-fixed acoustic system.

High sound absorption with minimal height loss

With thicknesses of 29 mm and 49 mm, Hz Basic delivers effective sound absorption while keeping the overall ceiling build-up slim. This makes the system well suited for spaces where ceiling height is a key consideration.

Seamless finish with Hz Acoustic Plaster

All Hz Basic acoustic panels are finished with Hz Acoustic Plaster, which seals the surface and creates a smooth, uniform ceiling.

Both finishes are seamless and can be tinted in most NCS and RAL colors.

Materials and surface

Hz Basic acoustic panels consist of either mineral wool or recycled textile fibers combined with a pre-treated 9 mm glass granulate surface. The surface is robust and durable, allowing for direct integration of spotlights, lighting tracks, speakers, and other technical installations into the ceiling.

The recycled variants are part of Hz Recycled: our range of sustainable acoustic systems based on recycled materials.

Where can Hz Basic be used?

  • Living rooms and kitchen-living areas
  • Offices and meeting rooms
  • Restaurants, canteens, and hotels
  • Corridors and stairwells
  • Balcony edges
  • Museums and cultural buildings
  • Wet rooms, wellness areas, and swimming pools

The panels are moisture-resistant and can be impregnated to become washable, making them suitable for spaces with high hygiene and durability requirements.

Acoustics, comfort, and indoor climate

Good acoustics play a crucial role in both wellbeing and functionality. Hz Basic reduces reverberation and overall noise levels, contributing to a comfortable sound environment where speech and everyday activities feel calmer and more controlled.

The system’s minimal build-up height preserves the room’s proportions while providing a modern, refined ceiling expression.
