First Hz Basic acoustic panel
Version 1 of the Hz Basic acoustic panel goes into production, along with a mineral plaster.
ABOUT US – OUR HISTORY
Hz Acoustic was founded in 2015 in a garage on Barfredsvej in Frederikshavn. Since then the plaster, the panels and the production line have been developed step by step, and in June 2025 we celebrated our 10th anniversary. These are the milestones that shaped the company.
2014-2018
2014
Version 1 of the Hz Basic acoustic panel goes into production, along with a mineral plaster.
2015
Hz Acoustic’s journey begins in a garage at Barfredsvej 73 in Frederikshavn.
2015
Work begins on a plaster with cellulose fibers, which makes it more elastic.
2018
The cellulose-fiber plaster is completed and becomes Hz Acoustic Plaster 03.
2018
We launch an acoustic plaster made partly from milk cartons.
2019-2021
2019
An assembly line is developed for producing finished acoustic panels.
2019
DK Akustik East, headed by Kristian Haahr-Raunkjær, becomes our first Hz Partner.
2019
We start producing molded glass granulate panels. Among other things, they are used for the Swedish railways.
2019
The first version of Hz Plus, perforated plasterboard with acoustic fleece, launches. Version 2 follows in 2021.
2020
Hz Dual acoustic panels with holes for screw fixing are launched. Hz Dual is the same panel as Hz Basic – the only difference is the holes, and therefore how the panels go up (Hz Basic with adhesive, Hz Dual with screws).
2020
Renovation of the existing hall 1 begins.
2021
Hall 2 – known day to day as “the cold hall” – comes into use.
2022-2023
2022
A brand new hall goes up – hall 3.
2022
Acoustic plaster 07 is discontinued and we begin developing our acoustic plaster 09, made partly from textile waste from a local laundry.
2023
A new administration building, connected directly to hall 1, comes into use.
2023
After three years of continuous development, our textile panels finally pass fire approval.
2023
DK Akustik Vest, Nordic Acoustic, Lillebælt Tømreren, Dansk FacadePuds and Akustiknord become Hz Partners.
2024-2025
2024
We start producing our own shredded textile fibers for acoustic plaster 09. The textile waste comes from a local laundry, and we grind it down ourselves so it can go into the plaster.
2024
We sign an agreement with the Swedish company Zbloc Norden, who will help build a market in Sweden.
2025
In June 2025 we celebrate Hz Acoustic’s 10th anniversary. A big milestone, and one to mark in style.
