That’s why Ascot Hotel has just installed new smooth acoustic ceilings from Hz Acoustic – an upgrade that matches the hotel’s high standards both aesthetically and functionally. Smooth acoustic ceilings – elegant and effective sound absorption In a hotel environment, good acoustics are not just a luxury; they are a necessity. Guests must be able to relax, talk, and enjoy the tranquility behind the classic walls. That’s why Ascot chose a combination of Hz Basic 007 and Hz Flex 019 – two types of acoustic panels that together create a sound-dampening ceiling with both strong performance and a discreet appearance. Hz Basic 007 consists of 40 mm mineral wool combined with a 9 mm glass granulate panel, ensuring high sound absorption. Hz Flex 019 is a flexible 20 mm foam panel that can be adapted to even complex surfaces and corners – perfect for a historic building with unique details and special design requirements. The entire surface is finished with Hz Acoustic Plaster 03, creating a uniform and smooth acoustic ceiling without visible joints or seams. The result is a ceiling that visually blends with the architecture while acoustically creating calm in the room. History meets modern standards Ascot Hotel’s building still bears clear traces of its past as a public bathhouse. The classical reliefs with bathing motifs tell the story of another era and for that reason, it was essential to choose an acoustic solution that respects the building’s historical expression. With support from sub-consultant ERIK Arkitekter, a solution was created where modern requirements for fire safety and acoustic performance go hand in hand with respect for the building’s original aesthetics.
