The Flex 017 acoustic panel is suitable for flat or curved surfaces that are solid and stable. The panels must be glued/adhered. If the panels need to be mounted on battens, we recommend our Hz Dual acoustic panels.
Composition of Hz Flex 017 Acoustic Panel:
Hz Flex acoustic panels can be adhered to ceilings or walls that are solid and stable, as well as suspended constructions made of gypsum or fiber concrete. They can be used in both dry and wet areas. The substrate must be able to support a minimum of 10 kg/m².
Panels should be stored frost-free and protected from moisture. The temperature must not exceed 40 °C, and the panels should not be exposed to direct sunlight. Place the panels on-site 2-3 days before installation to allow for moisture stabilization.
The substrate must be even, dry, and free from grease and loose particles. Loose plaster, chalking surfaces, and other non-durable substrates must be removed, and the substrate should be primed with micro dispersion primer. Previously painted and new surfaces must be primed with Hz Plaster Primer. Hz Flex acoustic panels should be fully adhered using Hz Glue S1, with a consumption of 0.600 – 0.800 kg/m². Always follow the supplier’s installation guidelines.
At 20 °C and 50 % relative humidity (RH), the adhesive becomes stable after 15-20 minutes and is fully cured after 24 hours.
